Shoe Craz

My current pair of favorite heels. A christmas gift from my sister! They aren't designer in fact they were around the $20-30 price range. Bought from Body Central. The heel is wood and nice and thick so even though they are a decent sized heel they're sturdy to walk in. The shoe itself is chocolate brown suede, with a zipper down the back.

Updating my goals

I figured posting my goals on BL might make me actually do them. I plan to start using this app on my iPod called c25k ( couch to 5k) I believe that's what it's called. Starting 1.04.12 the day after 2nd Quater starts at college and start hitting the YMCA again and start running! I'll be updating my progress as I go! Wish me luck I've been a couch potato all of break.

Obsession of the Day

    So I was here recently inspired to do a new type of blog post on Bite Lemons! I'm calling it my Obsession of the day(OoD)! With the OoD I plan to scrounge the world wide web to find cute and Obsession worthy products. So today's theme is..(drum roll)...Letters! My sleep Routine

Yes even though I just started my blog and all of my posts have for the majority been published in the am I do sleep. When I do I use an app on my ipod (it's free) called Nature Sounds and turn on the mixer and play the Fire sound and mix it with the Cricket sound. Just to add depth to it though so I really can make believe I have a roaring, warm and crackling fire in front of me I turn on my electric candle! The candle takes three AAA batteries and has three settings; on, off, and a four-hour timer. I sit mine on the timer as to not run out of battery and the little vanilla scented, electric candle cast a soft glow in my pitch black room. But it isn't like a flashlight, the little flame shaped light flickers for a real candle experience! So I hoped you enjoyed my random advice for people looking for a new routine. As for buying the candle check out Walmart, Big Lots or really any store with a home section to it.

Pretty pink lips

To achieve my hot pink lips I used a lip duo by CoverGirl. It's their CoverGirl Outlast All Day Lipcolor, 2 pieces, Rose Pearl 547. The price I believe for the duo is around $10.00. As for the product itself it does last for a minimum of 12 hours at least for me it did but beware:
1) let it dry before you put on the second clear product!
2) No flaky lips or it will look terrible on you.
3) After or before a year rolls around you should already be looking for a replacement for the vibrant color. The clear topper will still work like a charm though!

Some of my favorite things!

In the following photos are 7 of my favorite pieces of jewelry....(aren't they delicious?!) I also included my nail polish by Revlon, it's so delightful. Once it drys it smells a little like floral mixed in with clean linen, creating this beautiful ocean breeze scent that I adore!

Old pictures to dress up the Cameo Edition.

Also from the little antique shop that sites hidden in the small clutter of historical shops in Urbana, Ohio, I found photographs! Only one of the two photographs has a date (1933) scribbled in blue ink in the corner of the photograph. Both photographs only cost me a dollar each. I Laid the photos around my Edgar Allan Poe book for a nice touch of true history. It's a shame that all of the photos have no names for the faces. All that does remain is that old photograph and the stories it could tell...

I was thrilled to find this small volume in a town half a hour away from me for only $4.00! Being a poetry and short story fan myself I quickly added the address to my on my way home stops.

My quirky Tip? Bite a Lemon.

You don't really need to bite a lemon but why not drink some lemon water before you head out for a day of shopping. Make it even sweeter by adding sugar! I promise my whole blog isn't about lemons... but I feel you should always feel the ways the smell of lemons can provoke! When you shop have fun and no regrets. After all you can't walk onto the battlefield with the bullets in the palm of your hand.
This blog is all of my thrifting (clothing and home good) finds & antique store purchases along with any crafts I get around to doing...it's a big jumble of variety but I hope you tune in!

Oh and if you don't enjoy lemons try an orange! They are sweeter!
